The Italy bike tour is dedicated to all cycling lovers who want to be part of one of the most enthusiastic race in Italy, the Alé la Merckx Granfondo, and desire to discover the four Dolomite passes that have made the history of the Tour of Italy: Passo Gardena, Passo Campolongo, Pordoi and Passo Sella.


The 9 day bike tour in Italy gives you the chance to join the 11th edition of Alé la Merckx Granfondo, the race dedicated to the Belgian cyclist Eddy Merckx, which will take place in the heart of Verona. During the trip 2 Italian ex pro riders, Pietro Caucchioli and Andrea Ferrigato, will guide you in Sella Ronda route in the Dolomites National Park, besides showing you the cities of Verona and Vicenza.

From the regal stage of Piazza Bra the mediofondo and granfondo
routes will depart to animate the cycling lovers in Verona,
the homeland of Shakespeare’s inspiration.
The race is dedicated to the company that is leader in
the production of technical cycling apparel under the Alé
brand and to the fearless and unstoppable Belgian ‘cannibal’
Eddy Merckx, capable of defying and beating the impossible.

tasting Prosecco wine and visiting some of the most
beautiful cities like Verona and Vicenza.

you will be in the Dolomites National Park, riding on the most iconic
cycling loops in Italy: Sella Ronda route, passing by Passo Gardena,
Passo Campolongo, Pordoi and Passo Sella.

This morning you will be picked up from Venice (Marco Polo Airport or Train Station) between 10 and 11am. Following a one hour transfer you will arrive to Vicenza, a UNESCO heritage listed city. We will check you into your hotel, prepare/fit the bikes and enjoy a 2 hour afternoon ride through the local Colli Berici region. Cycle the twisting and turning roads which over the last few years have been a favorite with Giro d‘Italia race organizers!

One of the world’s most iconic cycling loops is on offer today: the Sella Ronda Loop! The Sella Ronda is a must for any cyclist who visits the towering Dolomites mountain region. There are 4 steps to become a member of the Sella Ronda club: Passo Pordoi, Campolongo, Sella and Gardena. Each pass provides views that will be etched into your memory for a lifetime. Our base in Corvara allows you the chance to relax, enjoy the scenery of the surrounding mountains or even get out the walking shoes and explore a little. If you would like to ride some more though, we will be ready to ride with you. Cycling options up to 100km are available including climb combinations of Fedaia, Pordoi, Giau and/or Falzarego!

From the hotel downhill to Alleghe where we will start one of the most scenic climbs: Passo Fedaia through Serrai di Sottoguda an awesome natural canyon that rises up to the Marmolada glacier. When you cross the Fedaia Pass the fast descent will take you to Canezei and cross the Val di Fassa. After 2 hours transfer by Van you arrive in Verona the beautiful city famous for William Shakespeare’s play Romeo and Juliet and the famous Roman Arena.
